Langham Partnership - Canada
Member of the Langham Partnership International

The Langham Partnership International is an association of independent trusts and charities in several countries which owe their original vision and founding to Rev Dr John Stott. The name 'Langham' derives from All Souls Church, Langham Place, London, where John Stott was Rector from 1950-1975, and Rector Emeritus from 1975 to the present. Their common aim is to facilitate the growth and mission of the church in the Majority World churches through the following program areas:

Langham Literature: The purpose of the Langham Literature program is to support biblical preaching and teaching in the Majority World with evangelical literature resources. The terms 'literature' and 'books' should be taken to include all forms of written resources, whether in paper, web-based or CD formats, or other emerging technologies. aims to provide books (through grants, discounts, and distribution) and to foster the creation of books (through pre-press advice, editing, sponsored writing, translation, and publishing).

Langham Scholars: Believing that the development and maturity of church leaders depends in part upon those who teach them, the purpose of the Langham Scholarships program is to provide financial support for evangelical doctoral students from the Majority World who will return to train Christian leaders in their home country, most typically at the university and seminary level.

Langham Preaching: Believing that the church grows through God's word, and that God's word comes to the church primarily (though not exclusively) through preaching, the purpose of the Langham Preaching programme is to equip pastors and Christian leaders to preach and teach God's word faithfully and relevantly, particularly in countries where such training and resources are very limited.
